Make every day a safe day

28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This is an opportunity to reflect on how to reduce the risk of accidents at our workplaces

Safety is key for all employees and companies in A.P. Moller Group, and every day procedures and activities are carried out to ensure a safe working environment all over the world.

Today, many of our portfolio companies take the opportunity to emphasise the importance of safety. They do it in different ways, but all with the same objective: to make every day a safe day.

New Global Safety Award at A.P. Moller – Maersk

A.P. Moller – Maersk is planning a number of activities leading up to the celebration of their internal Safety Day 1 September. Today, they launch their new initiative ‘Global Safety Awards’ which will reward three safety improvement projects that have eliminated or significantly reduced a critical frontline safety risk by work design. The winners will be announced 1 September.

Safety walks and talks at KK Wind Solutions

Since 2021, KK Wind Solutions has worked proactively with their ‘Vision Zero’ philosophy aiming to achieve zero accidents in the workplace. Today, they celebrate Safety Day with a range of activities promoting a strong and healthy safety culture across their global sites. The day’s activities include training on ‘Vision Zero’, safety walks, and safety talks with their HSE representatives.

An operational Toolbox for Maersk Drilling

Maersk Drilling kicks off the Safety Day with a toolbox focusing on mental wellbeing and relationships, emphasising how important wellbeing is to safety. By activating thought and dialogue on how to build and foster supportive relationships, Maersk Drilling hopes to motivate the team to take even better care of each other going forward.
