A.P. Moller - Maersk appoints new CEO
Vincent Clerc has been appointed new CEO of A.P. Moller – Maersk
Vincent is currently CEO of the company’s Ocean & Logistics business and will take over the baton from Søren Skou as per 1 January 2023.
“Søren has contributed to our Group’s development over almost forty years, of which eleven years as CEO for Maersk Tankers, four years as CEO for Maersk Line and close to seven years as CEO for Maersk. During his tenure as CEO of Maersk, Søren has been instrumental in redefining Maersk into a customer centric end-to-end logistics provider with a global leadership position in sustainable transportation solutions. On behalf of the Board, I sincerely thank Søren for his valued leadership and impressive results. I am equally grateful for Søren’s support in the CEO succession review making sure the company does not lose any momentum in its strategic endeavors in a changing and difficult market.”

Acquisition of Ocean Yield is complete
A.P. Moller Holding announced the acquisition of Ocean Yield on 2 July 2026. With all regulatory approvals obtained, the transaction has now been successfully completed. Ocean Yield holds interests in over 70 modern vessels across several core shipping sectors, including gas carriers, container ships, LNG carriers, crude, product and chemical tankers, and dry bulk carriers.

A.P. Moller Holding announces the acquisition of Ocean Yield from KKR
A.P. Moller Holding and KKR, a leading global investment firm, today announced that they have signed an agreement under which a subsidiary of A.P. Moller Holding will acquire 100% of Ocean Yield AS (Ocean Yield), a leading global ship leasing platform, from funds managed by KKR.
